An ambulance and a car collided head-on at an intersection in Klagenfurt, sending six injured people to hospital.
On Rosentaler Straße outside the city, a Klagenfurter (22) sent an emergency vehicle on an emergency drive. An Italian (54) drove in the opposite direction. At the Viktringer Ring/August Jaksch-Strasse intersection, the emergency vehicle wanted to go straight ahead and the Italians wanted to turn left. Both had a green light at the traffic light. There was a frontal collision.
Alcohol test was negative
The 22-year-old and his passenger (27) were slightly injured in the rescue vehicle, the driver (54), his passenger (41) and the children (15 and 11) in the passenger car. Both cars were a total loss. The alcohol tests came back negative.
