On Thursday morning, a two-year-old boy in Gleisdorf (Styria) rolled over a pedestrian crossing on his balance bike and was hit by a car.
The child was standing in a parking lot with his father (31) at 7:20 am. In an unnoticed moment, he left on his bicycle in the direction of Alois-Grogger-Gasse. There was a collision on a zebra crossing.
Driver was unable to brake
A 49-year-old driver could not stop her car in time and rammed the boy. She stopped immediately, and a moment later the concerned father also came by.
After first aid on site, the two-year-old was taken to the children’s clinic in Graz. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
