Oil tank on fire – Another drone attack on an airport in Russia

Date:

There has been another drone attack on an airport in Russia. An oil tank caught fire in Russia’s Kursk region during an offensive, the local governor said. There are no injuries – where the drone came from is not yet known. On Monday there were already explosions at two Russian airports. The Russian Defense Ministry blames Ukraine for the attacks.

A drone attacked an airport in Russia’s Kursk region, which borders Ukraine, on Tuesday. “The fire is localized. All emergency services are working on site,” the governor of the region, Roman Starovoit, writes on Telegram. According to welt.de, the governor could not determine where the drones came from.

Attack with Soviet-made drones
On Monday, three people were killed in an explosion at a Russian airport near the city of Ryazan, about 200 kilometers southeast of Moscow. Six other people were injured. In addition, two people were injured and two aircraft damaged in an attack on a base in Russia’s Saratov region.

Russia’s defense ministry said Ukraine had “tried” to “hit” the Dyagilevo airfield in the Ryazan region and the Engels airfield in the Saratov region with Soviet-designed drones.
