Shock for a 31-year-old resident on Sunday evening in Innsbruck: The woman was first insulted by an unknown person on Amraser Straße and then beaten. The police were able to track down a suspect.
At around 3:15 a.m., the stranger allegedly attacked the 31-year-old in Amraser Straße. He insulted her and then punched her in the face, the director said. The Austrian suffered minor injuries to her face and right wrist. She then immediately went to the police and reported the incident.
The exact course of events is still being determined
The officers started a manhunt in the area around the crime scene and were eventually able to track down a suspect: a 23-year-old Afghan who confessed to the police officers that he had beaten the woman.
Now the exact course of events must be determined, because since the 23-year-old was slightly injured in the shoulder, this is not yet clear.
