A 16-year-old in the Weinviertel (Lower Austria) should have a good explanation: Her parents had barely left home when the girl had a party in Groß-Enzersdorf – with fatal consequences.
Because even uninvited guests stopped by the parental home to congratulate the birthday boy. The young party animals may have left their manners at home. The rude awakening happened the next morning – scenes like in the movie “Hangover” could remain in the memory of some partygoers for a long time.
For a ride without a driver’s license
Because, as it turned out from extensive research, there were a number of criminal offenses on the evening of the party. A 17-year-old partygoer hijacked his parents’ car from the garage and – without a driver’s license – went for a round of about 100 kilometers. He then parked the vehicle in a public car park in Deutsch-Wagram.
Surveys continue
Three boys aged 15 and 17 also proved their thieving skills by stealing cash, tools, three tablets, two mobile phones and speakers and other items worth more than €2,000 from the house. A number of items were also damaged during the birthday party.
In addition, a robbery is said to have taken place during the party: armed with a knife, three youths aged 17 and 18 demanded his fanny pack containing 360 euros in cash from a 15-year-old partygoer from Vienna.
The young people have been reported by order of the public prosecutor’s office in Korneuburg.
