It is an unpleasant confusion that currently sows the team of the restaurant “Peppino im Hofkeller” to despair. The restaurant is currently getting a series of bad reviews on the internet, which are actually directed at another restaurant called “Peppino” in Millstatt.
The host there caused quite a scandal when he posted the following statement on Instagram: “We would like to inform you all that our restaurant will be closed on January 16, 2023 and on January 19, 2023 with six tables for our patrons and local guests. reopened Vegans, hippies, ecos and Arabs are excluded.”
Shitstorm hits the wrong place
This scandal was reported throughout the German-speaking area and SOS Mitmensch even filed a complaint against the host. Since then, one negative review after another has been given on the Internet for the restaurant – but not for the Millstätter “Peppino”, but for the restaurant of the same name in Graz.
The operators of the “Peppino im Hofkeller” have nothing to do with the scandal host and have now spoken out via Facebook: “It happens almost every hour today that we receive negative reviews. We have learned from dear guests and friends that a restaurant with a similar name but didn’t make nice statements about other cultures in another state and we seem confused!”
The team distanced itself from the statements of the host from Carinthia: “We refrain from discriminatory statements! Anyone who knows us knows that all cultures are welcome here!”
