An unknown person was seriously injured in the city of Salzburg on Friday evening. The pedestrian was hit by a car on the dark side of the road. The identity is not yet clear.
At around 8:40 p.m., a 37-year-old driver collided with a pedestrian on Salzburger Alpenstrasse at 70 km/h. The woman drove out of town with her 68-year-old mother in the passenger seat. The two occupants initially thought they had been hit by a heavy object. The unknown, who, according to initial findings, was leaving town on the right side of the road, was hurled to the ground and seriously injured.
Car was towed away
Ambulance service and emergency doctor treated the seriously injured woman at the scene and then took her to the shock room of the Salzburg University Hospital. Both occupants of the car had to receive psychosocial care from the crisis intervention team. The car had to be towed.

The location of the accident was mapped using a drone. The identity of the victim has not yet been clarified. So far there are no other witnesses to the traffic accident. Anyone who saw the incident should contact a police station.
