In a joint statement, ENBA and EHNE expressed their support for festivals like today’s as they help to improve the image of the primary sector and promote its activity, and have claimed the “dignity” of mountain grazing , especially that of the herdsmen and ranchers of Aralar. That is why they have criticized the “neglect and indifference” of the Commonwealth of Enirio-Aralar in the mountains of the area. They also expressed the “precarious situation” experienced by the shepherds milk producers for Idiazabal cheese, whose production costs “have increased by 10-12%”, but “the compensation received has barely touched”.
