Animal lovers discovered a seagull on the Gmunden lake promenade in Upper Austria last weekend that clearly needed help. The Austrian animal welfare organization rescued the water bird, which had a broken wing. Lief: The seagull was christened “Alfred”.
After an extensive veterinary check, it was determined that the gull “Alfred”, as his finders called him, had been seriously injured with a broken wing. After medical care, Alfred was transferred to the Assisi farm for Upper Austria in Frankenburg, where he can now relax in peace. “He’s a brave guy. He eats well and shows his best side,” says farm manager Ulli Weinberger.
