The Pakistan Army’s Press Department confirmed the death in a statement expressing its “sincere condolences on the sad death of General Pervez Musharraf, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and Chief of Staff of the Army”. “May Allah bless the soul of the deceased and strength to the grieving family,” he added.
