The Lower Austrian police discovered an entire arsenal of weapons in a house in Pöggstall in Lower Austria. The tipster was the wife of the alleged gun lover, who felt threatened and therefore went to the police.
On Wednesday morning, at the age of 53, the suspect’s home was searched — and the officers, including Cobra task forces, quickly found what they were looking for: They found small arms, some with silencers, long guns such as shotguns, hand grenades and large quantities of ammunition. The suspect’s mobile phone and computer were also seized.
Chief Inspector Johann Baumschlager said when asked that the 53-year-old is being investigated under the Prohibition Act. A weapon and an entry and approach ban were issued. The woman’s motives for going to the police: she felt physically and mentally threatened.
