After a man hit several people in a van in New York on Monday, one of the victims has died. A 44-year-old man who was riding a bicycle and was pulled by the van has died of his injuries, New York Police reported Wednesday. Seven other people were injured in the incident.
The driver of the van was arrested and charged with murder and seven counts of attempted murder.
According to the initial findings, the 62-year-old suffers from psychological problems, the police said.
On Monday, in Brooklyn’s Bay Ridge neighborhood, he used a rented van to beat people on the streets and sidewalks in several places and then initially fled from police.
