The Basque government, the Ministry of Labor and representatives of the European Commission presented the European Social Fund Plusa fund that plans to serve more than 90,000 people with performances of more than 197 million euros. 79 of these will be provided by the European Union. This is a 7-year plan.
The money will be used, among other things, for the labor inclusion of the People with Disabilities and those who live in it poverty risk.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Azpiazu At a press conference, he assessed the importance of this program and its contribution to the “inclusive growth of the Basque Country, the modernization of the labor market” and the protection of the most vulnerable people.
He also pointed out that this fund mainly focuses on two “inseparable” aspects: employment and social inclusion.
