In Styria, a driver rammed a street sign on Saturday and ended up with his car in a meadow. Witnesses raised the alarm, but the driver was lucky.
For unknown reasons, a driver from Southeast Styria ended up with his car on the same mountain road (L 212) on the other side of the road and then ended up on the shoulder. He was on his way to St. Stefan/Rosental.

It then collided with full force against a street sign and the vehicle sailed into the adjacent field. Witnesses immediately alerted the emergency services. Fortunately, the driver was able to free himself almost on his own and was probably unharmed. However, he was taken to Feldbach Regional Hospital for further checks.
The car sustained significant damage. The windscreen on the driver’s side broke completely after the accident, other parts were also damaged.
The road had to be completely closed during the rescue work.
