illness as a reason? – “I’m Maddie”: Polin’s family disagrees

Date:

21-year-old Julia F. from Poland wants to be Madeleine McCann, who was kidnapped at the age of three. The young woman caused an international stir with her Instagram page, where she posted “evidence photos”. However, as reported, a Viennese forensic scientist considers this unlikely. Now the 21-year-old’s family has spoken out and contradicted Julia’s claims in a post on the Facebook group “Missing Years Ago”.

“It is clear to us that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, nephew and stepdaughter. We have memories, we have pictures,” the statement said. At the same time, the family reveals Julia’s tragic story: she suffers from mental illness. “We tried countless therapies, medicines and psychologists with Julka (nickname, note). resigned (…) We have always tried to help her get back on her feet.” However, the young woman left the family at the age of 18 and is also currently not on any medication, they say.

Family: ‘We are getting threats’
The fuss around Julia also affected the family very much. “We received threats at our address and asked Julia to stop it,” complained. The Polish family also asks that they be left alone: ”We will not give interviews, publish photos or comment on articles.” Julia herself recently explained in an Instagram video that her doctors had “not declared delusional.” She also wants to have the relevant certificates. The 21-year-old continues to insist that she is the kidnapped Maddie. Some of the “proof photos” posted on their page can be seen in the video below.

On May 3, 2007, then three-year-old Madeleine from Great Britain disappeared from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal. The parents had left her and her two younger siblings to eat with friends at a nearby restaurant.

Authorities convinced: Maddie is dead
In Germany, the authorities are convinced that Christian B. (45) killed the girl in Portugal. He is currently serving a seven-year sentence for the 2005 rape of an American woman in Praia da Luz. He is charged with three counts of aggravated rape and two counts of child sexual abuse. The defendant denies having anything to do with Maddie’s kidnapping. He was miles from the place at the time and could have that confirmed.
