The Chechen ruler, Ramzan Kadyrov, known as Putin’s “bloodhound”, has regularly presented himself as eloquent and belligerent in the war against Ukraine. In the meantime, however, it has become pretty quiet around him. As a result, there are now numerous rumors about the Chechen leader – for example, he is said to have flown in a specialist due to an illness.
The rumor mill was already simmering in December after speculation about Kadyrov’s health – now Chechnya’s former deputy prime minister Akhmed Zakayev says that for his brazen and unscrupulous announcements, the ruler has a serious health problem, as reported by “Bild”.
bloated face
The current photos of the ruler should prove this too – and in fact his face has seemed a bit puffed up lately, his eyes are not visible in most photos. Specifically, Kadyrov would suffer from kidney problems and that is why he even called in a specialist from the United Arab Emirates.
Closed eyes, puffed up face – one of the currently quite rare videos of Putin’s “bloodhound”:
The 46-year-old would suffer from symptoms such as high blood pressure, weight gain, fluid retention in the legs and shortness of breath – classic symptoms of kidney failure. There is also speculation about possible poisoning. There is no official confirmation of the claim yet.
The not-so-fit “bloodhound”?
The fact that Kadyrov can still occasionally appear in front of the camera is said to be due to various incentives. However, until now he has always tried to present the image of a fit fighter.
Only in December did he underline his physical condition by performing several “push-ups” on a Russian TV show. It is therefore unlikely that he will publicly address a serious illness.
