Whether they were waiting for their victim, or the motto was: opportunity makes the thief. In Haid near Ansfelden (Upper Austria), a teacher was the victim of an attack. And she had a guardian angel, because it could have ended much worse.
In Ansfelden it was not the first attack recently, but it is unclear whether it is always the same perpetrators. Usually they are clearly opportunities, such as on Tuesday evening in front of secondary school 1 in Schulstraße.
At exactly 8:58 p.m. that day, two previously unknown perpetrators stole the money and keys from a 40-year-old woman from the Steyr-Land district.
Just before 9 p.m., two young robbers were waiting for a victim in the teachers’ parking lot. And a 40-year-old teacher could have become a random victim. When the teacher went to the car, one of the perpetrators snatched her wallet and key.
Hidden in the basement
Not enough, he pushed her away and the woman fell through a cellar door. Fortunately, she escaped with minor injuries, still had her cell phone and was able to call 911. The victim hid in the basement until police arrived. But by then the robbers had already left and a search of the house was initially unsuccessful.
Perpetrator description:
Both perpetrators are described as teens or young adults, about five to six feet tall. They were dressed in dark. One of them had a hoodie pulled over his face and spoke with a foreign accent.
