Accident in the Zillertal – Tyrol: Milk truck overturned in the snow

Date:

Winter conditions were fatal for the driver of a milk truck in Tyrol’s Zillertal late Monday evening: the truck skidded on a sloping municipal road in Finkenberg and eventually flipped over. Good luck with bad luck: the 32-year-old driver was unharmed.

The spectacular accident happened around 10:30 p.m. The 32-year-old was driving the milk truck on a municipal road in Finkenberg when the truck suddenly skidded due to the wintry road conditions. “The driver was still trying to control the van. He steered to the right, where the lorry ended up on the side of the road through the soft soil and the rear broke out. In the end, the vehicle went over the left edge and overturned,” a police spokesman said when asked by “Krone”.

The uninjured driver raised the alarm
The 32-year-old driver escaped unhurt – he survived the accident unharmed. “The man himself initiated the rescue chain,” the spokesperson continues.

Diesel tank was damaged
The alerted Finkenberg volunteer fire brigade then had to pump the diesel out of the tank, as it had been damaged by the accident. In addition to the Floriani disciples, the ambulance and the police were also present.
