It is getting underway: the Vienna public prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation against an owner of Lead Horizon, the provider of corona test kits.
Judith Ziska, spokeswoman for the authority, confirmed the investigation. The man is charged with infidelity, document and evidence forgery. In addition, investigations are being conducted into violations of the Association Responsibility Act.
According to ORF, the investigations should be based on a statement of facts that one of the founders of Lead Horizon, Christoph Steininger, has submitted to the Public Prosecution Service. Steininger is no longer active in the company.
Events roll over
The accusation is, among other things, that, according to ORF, the suspect has taken money out of the company in several cases, thereby causing damage to other owners and the company. It concerns renovation work in an office of the suspect. The damage amounted to almost a quarter of a million euros.
The man would also have commissioned one of his other companies for more than 80,000 euros, although they would not have the necessary marketing authorization. Another accusation: the suspect is said to have changed an offer from a consultancy firm, which also investigates forgery of documents and evidence.
The suspect denies all allegations and calls them ‘unfounded’, according to the report. He speaks of internal disputes. Lead Horizon announced this on Wednesday evening. The Vienna test program is a success story. The test kits are developed and produced by the start-up Lead Horizon and the samples are evaluated in the Lifebrain laboratories.
