A 13-year-old or an accomplice probably stole a car at Voitsdorf train station between April 12 and April 15 and then installed stolen license plates. On April 16, the wrecked vehicle was found in a field in the Großedorf district of Rieder. In the late afternoon of April 15, the Starfun adult apparently went for a spin with two 14-year-olds.
They refueled unpaid at a gas station in Regau, after which other buddies probably got into the car. Two of the still unknown persons are said to have caused an accident on the access road to the A1 near Eberstallzell in the early morning hours of April 16.
They parked the wrecked car in a field near Grossendorf. The 13-year-old and his two 14-year-old friends were seen by witnesses in the damaged car in the afternoon and were caught at a bus stop a short time later.
