The union has called for demonstrations in Bilbao and Pamplona to emphasize that it will continue to promote strikes in defense of wages and pensions.
The trade union ELA will be engrossed in the defense of wages and pensions on May 1 this year and has therefore chosen the motto ‘Borrokan, irabazteko (In battle, to win)’, in a double appeal presented this Monday by his general secretary, Mitxel Lakuntza, and his deputy general secretary, Amaia Muñoa. Both have defended the strike as a “current tool” and presented their 2022 Yearbook, which lists a total of 86 union victories of last year.
Lakuntza stated that “ELA, as the majority union in this country, is proud because Euskal Herria leading the number of strikes“, because “there is a direct link between the strikes and the results achieved”.
