Prevented by the US? – Ukraine is said to have planned an attack on Moscow

Date:

Ukrainian intelligence officials plan to use drones and dynamite to attack Russia deep within their own territory, according to new explosive revelations. Even attacks on Moscow were therefore considered. The US would have eavesdropped on the overzealous agents and then whistled back. For good reason.

The Washington Post reports, citing classified files from the US intelligence service NSA, that the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR), Kyrylo Budanov, was behind the plans. He reportedly instructed his officers in February to plan attacks on the first anniversary of the Russian invasion on Feb. 24, “with all HUR,” the report said.

For example, an attack with dynamite on the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, about 300 kilometers from the front in Ukraine as the crow flies, was considered. The documents cited by the Washington Post are part of the massive data breach that became known in early April.

The US whistled back to Ukraine
In Washington, US officials secretly monitored Ukraine’s plans. Ukraine’s HUR military intelligence agency agreed on Feb. 22 to postpone the attacks, according to a classified CIA report. The revealed files show the tension between the Allies. Ukraine, eager to strike targets in Russia itself, is held back by the United States, which does not want a direct confrontation with Russia.

The stakes are high. According to the report, some US officials fear that if US-supplied weapons were used in such an attack, Putin could unleash a tactical nuclear strike. In addition, US intelligence services are concerned that Beijing sees attacks by Ukraine with weapons from NATO countries on Russian soil as an opportunity to portray NATO as an aggressor. This can be used as a justification for supplying arms to Moscow itself.

Numerous explosions on Russian territory
Kiev therefore adheres to the agreement not to carry out attacks with American weapons. An anonymous Ukrainian official was quoted by the Washington Post as saying there was an attack on a Russian air base in December using Ukrainian drones.
Suspicious explosions and drone strikes continue to take place in Russia, hundreds of miles from the front. Western secret services also suspect that Ukraine is behind this.

Of course, Kiev has not officially admitted to such attacks. However, top Ukrainian personnel, including the head of the secret service himself, repeatedly make cryptic and flirtatious remarks about the attacks – possibly an indication that they know who was responsible. Such attacks are always assumed to be capable of being carried out by the Ukrainian armed forces. Western secret services also suspect that Ukraine is behind the Daria car bombing UEFA of last year.

A drone carrying 17 kilograms of explosives has crashed near Moscow
Another incident occurred near Moscow on Sunday. According to media reports, Russian security organs have been found in a piece of forest northeast of the capital one with Combat drone loaded with 17 kilograms of explosives. The drone would have crashed because it ran out of fuel. According to reports, the plane was of Ukrainian origin.

Such incidents are a morale boost for Ukraine that is celebrated on social media. Ffor Russia are si.e actually cause for concern. Consequences are already there: there will be no military parades in several Russian regions this year on May 9, when Russia commemorates the victory over Nazi Germany – because of the increased “terrorist threat”.
