The trade union ELA has announced a new strike in the Artxanda tunnels before “the closure” to negotiate the collective agreement of Transbisa and Interbiak.
The trade union ELA has declared three new strike days in the Artxanda tunnels from 28 to 30 April to denounce the blockade in the collective agreement negotiations. In addition, it calls on the staff to participate in the demonstration that will start this Friday at 1 pm from Alameda Mazarredo.
In a statement, ELA denounced that the company has not made any offer to renew the agreement and is also proposing substantial changes to working conditions in several groups.
In this context, it urged Interbiak and the company that operates the service, Transbisa, to meet staff demands.
On the other hand, ELA has filed a lawsuit for violation of the right to strike. As he explained, during the last strike call, on April 15 and 16, the company’s management displaced the striking workers’ positions, in addition to ordering other groups to do the same.
