The unemployment rate in the Eurozone marks a new low, falling to 6.5% in March

In the European Union as a whole, the unemployment rate was 6% in March. The Spanish state leads the unemployment rate at 12.8% and youth unemployment at 29.5%.

The unemployment rate of the Euro zone It stood at 6.5% in March, one-tenth less than the previous month and the lowest level in the entire historical series, according to data published this Wednesday by Eurostat’s statistical office.

Also in the whole of the European Union (EU) the unemployment rate repeated an all-time low of 6% in March for the third consecutive month.

Eurostat estimates that 12.96 million people were unemployed in the EU in March, of which 11.01 million were in the eurozone. This represents an annual decrease of 353,000 unemployed in the EU and 365,000 in the Eurozone.

Among the twenty-seven, the highest unemployment rates corresponded to Spainby 12.8%; Greece, with 10.9%; And Italy, with 7.8%. On the contrary, the lowest unemployment rates were observed in Czech Republic (2.4%), Germany (2.8%) and malt (3%).

On the other hand, the rate of youth unemployment in Spain it was 29.5%, the highest of the twenty-seven, ahead of 24.2% in Greece and 22.3% in Italy.
