A 39-year-old grabbed a nine-year-old girl in the crotch at a shopping center in Kufstein in Tyrol. The man was beaten and hospitalized by the child’s father. Now the grabber also ended up in court and was convicted.
In December last year, the case made headlines and heated discussions about vigilance: because a man had grabbed his nine-year-old daughter between the legs when passing in a shopping center in Kufstein, 37-year-old Kazim K. was beaten by the groper and picked him up in the hospital. After the surveillance videos were shown, the father took matters into his own hands.
He casually found the man he knew on social media and persuaded him to meet in an underground parking garage. There the Unterländer hit the monster several times in the face, broke his nose, dragged him into the car, drove him to the police station and hit him again in front of the officers. Due to vigilance, the 37-year-old got off relatively lightly despite two previous convictions with a fine of 1440 euros.
Sentenced to a fine of 3000 euros
The hitherto innocent grabber, on the other hand, must now dig deeper into his pockets. He was sentenced by the court of Kufstein to a fine of 3,000 euros for the assault – not legally binding.
High hospital costs
However, Kazim K. is now feeling the financial ramifications of vigilante justice being the wrong tool. Because in addition to the fine, he says he has to bear the costs of the health insurance for the beatings administered, a total of 7,500 euros.
