Investigations in Vienna – were guards smuggling mobile phones and drugs for prisoners?

Date:

Two agents from Vienna-Josefstadt prison are alleged to have illegally smuggled in anabolic steroids and mobile phones – an investigation is underway in Krems.

The days in a cell can be extended indefinitely for prisoners. They are characterized by boredom and idleness – and waiting for lawyer talks or court appointments. According to information from the “Krone”, some prisoners of the prison in Vienna-Josefstadt could have done a lot better. Because they received help from a rather unexpected source.

No suspension for suspects
For some time now, two prison guards of Austria’s largest prison have allegedly grabbed one or the other prisoner under the shoulders. Namely as suppliers of prohibited objects and substances. It is rumored in legal circles that the men smuggled into ports both smartphones and anabolic steroids popular with prisoners. The duo probably only recently got blown up, but the smugglers apparently haven’t been completely suspended yet.

Upon request, the Ministry of Justice confirmed to the “Krone” that the officials were “transferred internally until further clarification of the facts of the case”. Further: “Precautions were taken to ensure there was no contact with prisoners.” While the port smugglers were apparently relegated to bureau criminals, Krems’ prosecutor’s office is investigating the two Viennese. The presumption of innocence applies to both for the time being.

In 2016, a cop went to the cinema with a gun
Spicy: One of the officials is not a blank slate. In 2016, he watched a midnight premiere at a movie theater in the Millennium City. The Cobra had to leave because the man was carrying a private pistol for unknown reasons. And just a few hours after the terrorist attacks in Brussels, which killed 32 people.
