A 33-year-old resident was almost run over by a car on Sunday evening at a spring festival in Höfen because he wanted to sleep it off under (!) the car. As the owner of the vehicle drove away, he began to scream loudly. In the end, the drunk was “only” hit by the bumper.
Under the influence of alcohol you can sometimes become unreasonable – but the 33-year-old Tyrolean probably had much more luck than sense after the drunken visit to the festival! He chose a particularly dangerous place to sleep it off – lying right under a car in the parking lot!
Heard a loud scream as he drove off
When the 29-year-old owner wanted to drive home shortly before 1:30 a.m., he suddenly heard a loud scream as he drove away. The driver immediately stopped, got out and found the screaming 33-year-old under his vehicle.
“The heavily intoxicated festival visitor was not run over by the car, but hit by the bumper,” says a police spokesperson when asked by “Krone”. He suffered injuries of an unknown nature. After first aid, he was taken by ambulance to Reutte Hospital. The driver was sober.
