The company’s executive president has stated that “all” sales will be for electric vehicles “because that transition will happen.”
The Basque car parts manufacturer Gestamp is set to do ‘good’ in 2023 and is considering revenue growth of around 12-15%focused on electric vehicles, in a year in which it plans to make investments worth about 900 million euros.
The CEO of the company, Francisco J. Riberasput forward some of the group’s forecasts during a meeting with journalists after the shareholder meeting held by the company this Tuesday in Bilbao, conveying a message of confidence and “moderate optimism” regarding the company’s situation.
In the 2022 financial year, Gestamp achieved a net profit of 260 million euros, 67% more than last year. “times are hardbut we are trained for tough times and we will come out well no matter what,” Riberas said.
He has also stated that eventually “all” of Gestamp’s sales will go to electric vehicles “because that transition is going to happen”.
