Two women allegedly brutally beat a taxi driver and seized a baseball bat in Kufstein in the Tyrolean lowlands last year. Now the supposedly wild couple was in court in Innsbruck. But the parties involved did not agree on the “murder weapon”.
It was actually a trifle that apparently led to an unbelievably violent attack in Kufstein last October. Because a taxi driver (39) would turn onto the road without blinking and cut a car, the driver (32) and her partner (28) would have gone completely crazy. “The driver hit me so hard in the face that I suffered a bruise on my lower jaw and tinnitus,” the taxi driver explained to the court in Innsbruck.
A passerby intervened
Suddenly, the 28-year-old allegedly hit her with a baseball bat. “I suffered bruises to my ribs and spine,” said the professional driver. According to the police, it was only thanks to the intervention of a passerby that she was not beaten any further.
“We were insulted as foreigners, I insulted them. That’s why there was a scuffle,’ one of the two alleged angered himself justified. The two would never have intended to hurt the taxi driver. “We just wanted to tell her to be more careful.”
Foam baseball bat or iron bar?
A few days after the incident, police confiscated a foam-covered children’s baseball bat from the couple. “That’s not the murder weapon,” even the victim had to smile. “The baseball bat I was hit with was probably iron.”
Trial adjourned due to witnesses
A witness who could have confirmed this stayed away from the hearing without excuse and must therefore pay a fine of 500 euros. The trial has been postponed!
