Siemens Gamesa has increased its losses in the first half of its fiscal year 2022 (from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022) to EUR 780 million, compared to a loss of EUR 54 million in the same period a year ago.
The group has reported that production and profitability have been impacted by energy, raw material and logistics costs as well as delays in investment decisions by its customers.
Sales for the first half of Siemens Gamesa amounted to EUR 4,006 million, 13% less than in the same period of the previous year.
In this context, the wind turbine manufacturer has indicated that it has initiated actions to address “urgent” short-term priorities. In addition, it will launch a new plan to develop its potential.
