A Brazilian police inspector shot dead four of his colleagues in the northeastern state of Ceará on Sunday. The incident happened at a police station in the city of Camocim, police said on Instagram.
The suspected shooter, an off-duty police inspector at the time, fled in a police vehicle and later turned himself in to authorities at a military police station, a local security official told G1 news agency. The motive is therefore still under investigation.
Three days of mourning
The mayor of the city of Camocim, which is about 350 kilometers from the federal capital Fortaleza, has declared three days of mourning to remember the victims.
