A man and a woman committed several thefts in a shopping center in Vienna-Brigittenau on Tuesday. A shop detective and the police ended the robbery of the two perpetrators on the same day. The 36-year-old and the 34-year-old reported theft.
A shop detective caught the man and woman red-handed putting several items of clothing in a bag. Then they walked out of the store without paying. The detective no longer needed evidence – he stopped the robbers and alerted the police.
Stolen goods seized by police
The two were arrested by the officers. The apparently prepared bag and the stolen items were secured. Officers also found a small amount of crystal meth.
Perpetrators known
During the interrogation, it turned out that the 36-year-old and the 34-year-old were up to mischief all day in the mall. Previously, they committed multiple thefts in other stores. Both confessed and were released by order of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office.
