After a brutal attack in front of a bar in Lienz, the police are looking for a man who suddenly hit his victim. The injured man was himself under the influence of alcohol and initially failed to make an emergency call.
The incident happened between 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Whit Monday. A young man from a group of four punched the 34-year-old resident in the face in front of a bar on Zwergergasse. According to the investigation, there had been only one ‘conversation’ beforehand.
Initially, the victims did not raise the alarm
The 34-year-old fell and the four young men then fled into the city. The Austrian, who says he was under the influence of alcohol, initially noticed no injuries and therefore did not call emergency services or the police. Only when he felt severe pain in the jaw area during the day did he go to the hospital in Lienz, where a serious injury in the lower jaw area was diagnosed.
