A Grazer has got her lost pet back – in an incredible way. A woman who had had all of her own animals taken just kept the “Yorkie”.
That “Buddy” is back home with his beloved family borders on a miracle – and is due to the perfect interaction between the vet, the animal shelter and the authorities. “But we would never have given up on the search for him anyway,” says Melissa M. But back to the beginning of this incredible story.
First trace taken at the vet
The dog escaped from the garden in Graz-Gösting a week ago. “We immediately searched the entire area, asked everyone, reported it in every possible place,” says Melissa M. “To no avail.” She cleverly came up with the idea to ask Sabine Lukas, the popular veterinarian in Göstingen. “And she immediately remembered that a woman with a Yorkshire terrier had been with her. She even stated that she had found him and would bring him home.”
“The dog was chipped, but the phone number was wrong,” said the vet. In this context, the importance of chipping and correct registration is also pointed out.
Ominous Call at the Shelter Led to “Buddy”
