A cyclist (77) was hit by a car in Innsbruck on Tuesday afternoon, fell and was seriously injured. The police are now looking for the unknown driver of the car and witnesses to the accident on Kajetan-Sweth-Strasse.

At around 2 p.m., the 77-year-old was on his road bike on Kajetan-Sweth-Strasse in Innsbruck, heading towards the city center. “According to current knowledge, the resident at number 26 was overtaken on the right by an unknown motorist and his path was subsequently cut off,” the police said.

To avoid a collision, the Austrian had to swerve to the left, fell onto the sloping pavement and fell.
