Terrible traffic accident late Thursday afternoon in Fieberbrunn in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel: A 24-year-old motorcyclist collided with an oncoming car while overtaking and was thrown onto the road. All help came too late for the motorcyclist – he succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
The tragic accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. The 24-year-old resident was on his motorcycle on the B164 Hochkönigstraße towards St. Johann when he wanted to overtake another motorcyclist at Fieberbrunn.

„During the overtaking maneuver, the 24-year-old lost control of his motorcycle for unknown reasons and collided head-on with the oncoming car of a 35-year-old Ukrainian in the oncoming lane,” police said.
Any help came too late for the locals
But that’s not all: another motorcyclist must have collided with locals lying on the road. The 24-year-old suffered the worst injuries in the accident – he died at the scene after failed resuscitation, it was said.
The five occupants of the car were taken to the district hospital in St. Johann in Tirol by the rescue service. In addition to the rescue and emergency doctor, the C4 helicopter, the Fieberbrunn fire brigade and several police patrols were also deployed.
