In a parliamentary response put forward by the EITB, the department, led by Josu Erkoreka, refers to improvements in labor, including short-time work, productivity bonuses and scale changes, among others.
The Ministry of Security of the Basque government has confirmed that up to eight relevant changes have been made to the working conditions of the Ertzaintza in the last ten years.
In a parliamentary reply of 9 June forwarded by the EITB, the department headed by Josu Erkoreka mentions, among other things, the regulation of short-time work for over-55s, the new permits for care, the extension of productivity allowances for professional development, the specific additions for the Mobile Brigade, for motorcyclists at cycling events and the remarkable changes in scale that, according to the Department, have inflated the budget by 4 million euros in just one year.
According to the reaction, part of these improvements would be the result of agreements at the negotiating table. Security is somehow responding to allegations in recent days by the trade union centers, which speak of paralysis since 2012.
The EITB’s parliamentary response also mentions the salary tables, among other things. For example, the agents of the basic scale: on average they will earn EUR 46,777.56 gross this year compared to EUR 44,633.12 last year.
