Three brutal criminals were up to mischief in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Tyrolean town of Kufstein. The trio first attacked a local (35) with a broom and kicks. A waiter following the youths was also attacked and robbed. A house search identified three Syrians between the ages of 15 and 17.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m., the three initially unknown boys attacked the 35-year-old resident on Kufsteiner Münchner Straße. “According to initial findings, the victim was injured by kicking and hitting with a broom,” the police said.
Waiter gave chase – robbed!
But that’s not all: an uninvolved waiter who had observed the attack gave chase to the trio. “The suspects then robbed the 34-year-old German of his waiter’s wallet with more than 1,000 euros in cash,” the investigators continue. The witness was also injured.
Injured victims with rescue to hospital
Both victims had to be transported by ambulance to the Kreisziekenhuis Kufstein. During a launched manhunt, the police were able to track down and provisionally arrest the three alleged perpetrators. They were three Syrians between the ages of 15 and 17.
After consultation with the Innsbruck public prosecutor’s office, the suspects are set free. Further investigations are ongoing.
