Focus action on Saturday: Nine alcoholic and four drug drivers and dozens of speeders were caught. The controls are extensive.
The focus action had been announced. This time, the focus of the police was mainly on the access and exit roads to discotheques, tent festivals or other events. A total of 600 alcohol checks were carried out and eight driver’s licenses were confiscated as part of the checks.
The highest value was found in a 68-year-old in the Neusiedl am See district. He drove his vehicle with 2.14 promille.
A 30-year-old man from the Wiener Neustadt district who was affected by addictive substances was stopped at the S…4 in the Mattersburg district. The Lower Austrian did not have a valid driver’s license because it was taken away from him in 2019.
An incorrigible man in the Güssing district was driving even longer without a driver’s license – his driver’s license had been revoked in 2003 for alcohol abuse.
In the context of the focus campaign, 140 reports were also made and 153 writs of execution issued. Radar found 95 speeding violations. In Rechnitz (Oberwart district) a Hungarian vehicle was measured at 195 instead of the permitted 100 km/h. In the Jennersdorf district, a Hungarian motorcyclist drove on Saturday evening at 177 km/h on the B57 between Fehring and Jennersdorf. The maximum speed there is 100 km/h.
All violations by the driver of the vehicle were reported to the responsible administrative authorities. And: The police will intensify the checks on the street to create even more awareness.
