Volkswagen Navarra on Monday began the process of transforming its facilities to produce electric cars from 2026 and will become a factory with multiple brands of electric and combustion models.
Such are the works of today extension of 5000 square meters of surface to build the new facilities where the MEB platform for future electric cars will be manufactured, which is different from the MQB for combustion cars. Both platforms will coexist in the same building from 2026.
As recalled by the factory management in a note, the estimated investment in the work €12 million and has an expected maturity of nine monthswhen will assembly of the production facilities begin.
