The youngest suspect, a Romanian (14) who lives in Salzburg, has just finished school. The eldest, a Serb (23) from Vienna, has been homeless for three years. Particularly brutal: According to the indictment, the two perpetrators, the 23-year-old and the 16-year-old, ordered from a food delivery service and gave the wrong address. When the messenger got there, they took out a gas pistol, repeated the weapon and demanded, “Give me the money”. But the victim managed to escape.
When asked “why” by the judge, the 23-year-old said only: “I thought nothing of it.” His sentence was three years’ unconditional imprisonment.
