Israeli security forces have shot dead Shireen Abu Aklehaa Palestinian journalist from the Qatari network Al Jazeerain Jenin (West Bank), as reported by the Wafa agency.
Abu Akleh, 51, reported on clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces, who fired bullets at youths and press teams in the area, according to the Maan agency.

Israel offers ‘joint investigation’ with Palestine
The Palestinian Health Ministry also attributed the journalist’s death to Israeli troops in a post on his official Facebook profile.
Subsequently, the Israeli Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, has offered the Palestinian authorities a “joint investigation”. “Journalists must be protected in conflict zones and we have a responsibility to know the truth,” he said on Twitter.
