An unknown man died on Friday at the Schlachthausgasse metro station in Vienna. After getting out, the victim wanted to head for the exit. According to the police, the stranger waved a lot.
According to the current state of the investigation, the man should have unintentionally taken a step over the edge of the platform around 1:35 p.m. No one noticed that. A subway train that arrived later fatally hit the man, despite the emergency brakes being applied.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established as he had no identification documents with him. The metro station was closed from 1:40 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. for the duration of the operation.
