The Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has agreed to organize a team of mediators to resolve the open crisis in Niger since the coup of July 25.
This team will be led by the Vice President of the ECOWAS Parliament, the Nigerian Idris Waseas decided at the special session held last Saturday in which Wase spoke out against the military intervention that ECOWAS has been considering for two weeks.
Wase is accompanied by the third deputy speaker of parliament, the Togolese Memounatou Ibrahima and the deputies Edwin Melvin Snowefrom Liberia; Foutoumatta Njai from Gambia and the Nigerian Senator allreports Voice of Nigeria.
As part of the technical team, there will also be members of it Senegal, Ghana, Cape Verde, Benin and Guinea-Bissauuntil she practically represented the entire African regional organization.
