The emergency services were called to a large fire in a business area in Wartberg an der Krems (Upper Austria) on Thursday afternoon. Flames broke out in the roof area of ​​a bakery and quickly spread. Four people were injured during the firefighting.

The flames could be seen for miles. On Thursday afternoon, twenty fire brigades were called to the scene at a former square farmhouse that had been converted into business premises in Wartberg an der Krems. The fire is believed to have started in the roof area of ​​a farm bakery.

Fell off ladder
Extinguishing the fire was not easy for the emergency services because a large photovoltaic installation was also installed on the roof. There were also technical problems with an elevator. Apparently people were still trying to salvage stuff from the commercial area. A woman had a seizure as a result of the excitement.

A firefighter fell off a ladder. Another colleague and a private individual were also injured. The material damage is considerable and efforts are currently being made to fight the fire.
