A 54-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a serious traffic accident in Styria on Sunday. The man collided with a car on the L 103.
Around 1:25 p.m., the Hungarian, who lives in Lower Austria, rode his motorcycle from Kappelen towards Preinergscheid. At the same time, a 41-year-old Kosovan woman was driving her car in the opposite direction on the L103. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided in a right-hand bend.
Witnesses provided first aid
The force of the collision caused the motorcyclist to fall and hit a guardrail. The motorist, who lives in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district, left the road and stopped in an adjacent meadow. Witnesses who heard the accident provided first aid and called emergency services.
The man succumbed to injuries
An emergency doctor, together with the team from the Christophorus 3 rescue helicopter, was able to stabilize the seriously injured 54-year-old and transport him to the LKH Wiener Neustadt, but unfortunately the man later succumbed to his serious injuries. The driver was uninjured.
