The NGO Iran Human Rights has reported that Amjad Amini was arrested as he left his home in Saqez and released hours later. Masha Amini died in police custody just a year ago after being arrested for not wearing the Islamic veil ‘properly’.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard arrested the father of Mahsa Amini to warn her not to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of her daughter, the 22-year-old Kurdish girl, who died in police custody just a year ago after being arrested for not wearing the Islamic veil ‘properly’ wore.
“Amjad Amini was detained by repressive forces this morning as he left his home in Saqez and returned home hours later,” the NGO Iran Human Rights said.
