On Monday evening, passersby became aware of a 57-year-old screaming for help in the Danube Canal. He later told police that he had been pushed inside by an unknown person.
The visibly shaken 57-year-old was pulled out of the Danube Canal using a ladder. Shortly afterwards, he immediately alerted the police because, according to him, he had previously been pushed into the Danube Canal from behind by a suspect while he was standing at the edge of the sidewalk.
Minor injuries
The 57-year-old was treated by a Viennese emergency service for a minor injury and his state of shock. However, so far there is no trace of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
