In the Völkermarkt district, a mobile home became independent on Tuesday afternoon and rolled from a campsite at Lake Pirkdorfer into a ditch. Fortunately, no one was injured.
At around 3:35 p.m., a 79-year-old German holidaymaker stopped after passing the barrier at a campsite on Lake Pirkdorf to close the roof hatch window in the rear of the vehicle. The driver had previously applied the parking brake. But it suddenly came loose and the mobile home rolled a few meters down a slightly sloping driveway to a municipal road and then came to a stop in a stream ditch.
The holidaymaker was slightly injured in the incident. The mobile home that was stuck in the stream bed was rescued by the fire brigade of Feistritz ob Bleiburg in collaboration with a towing company. There was minor damage to the camper. No other people were injured in the incident.
