This is what happened to a holidaymaker from Germany when her five-year-old child drowned in a hotel pool in Serfaus, Tyrol. But the trained nurse managed to resuscitate the offspring.
They must have been terrible minutes. On Friday around 3:30 p.m., a child (5) died in a hotel swimming pool in Serfaus (Landeck district). The mother (49) wanted to slide down a water slide with her two sons (twins). One son slipped first, the mother followed with the other after waiting at the traffic light. The mother could no longer find her son in the collection bin. Finally, after a short time, she discovered him floating unconscious at the bottom of the adjacent pool and pulled him out of the water.
Taken to the clinic
When the child was removed from the water, he was neither conscious nor had a pulse. However, the five-year-old’s mother, a trained nurse, was able to revive him with the help of another nurse! After the first treatment, the child was then taken to the clinic in Innsbruck by emergency helicopter.
